Barry first found music when he borrowed his sister's record collection when he was about eight and was hooked. When Caroline started it was a new beginning, and he listened to all the stations, but Caroline was his favourite by far. Later he became a singer in a band, then started doing discos when he was 18. Explore an odyssey of some of the most liquidy vibes every squeezed out of drum & bass! I started DJing after I bought a pair of Technics 1210s, a mixer, 2 huge speakers and a guy's entire 80's hip hop record collection for $500 off craigslist in 2007. I slowly built up my DNB vinyl collection and mixed records for endless hours. Some DJs are turntablists, but my favorite thing was harmonic mixing, or just finding 2 tracks that sounded great mixed together. I even built a thing called Mixtool for finding the most harmonic mixes in a playlist based on the key of each song. For a long time I dared share only the most flawless mixes. But in this podcast I'm opening the vault and exposing my favorite mixes - playlists that I practiced for hours perfecting, even if they didn't get perfected.
