The global pandemic is still a thing, so Eric decided to get real crazy and record another episode of I Love That Record, this time covering Limbeck’s 2003 alt-country/indie rock/whatever classic Hi, Everything’s Great. Kyle Lindsay joined Eric again this episode to bring his unique perspective as the former member of a touring band, and they were thrilled to welcome a couple of special guests to help them go deep into the nitty gritty of what went into making this record so special.

Throughout this two-hour ride (no kidding!), you’ll learn about the genesis of Patrick Carrie’s slinky (or maybe surfy?) guitar leads, where the songs on the record were written (a crawlspace might be involved), the Chrysler Sebring that almost made it into the “Julia” music video, and how the Limbeck Band and friends saved a catfish from certain death in St. Paul, MN.

Everyone let’s buckle up — we are going to drive side by side on a highway in the beehive state, reminisce about those friends who used to be goth kids, and maybe even sit in Ohio on some steps as we talk about Limbeck’s Hi, Everything’s Great!
