Growing up, Fareeda Abdulkareem experienced constant mood swings. On some days, she was bubbly and full of ideas; on other days, she felt so low that she could not perform mundane tasks. She would later discover that her feelings and symptoms were a result of a condition known as bipolar disorder. Through Fareeda’s story, we learn some of the ways bipolar disorder can present itself, and how she is navigating life with the knowledge of her mental health.
