Stace explains how this medicalization has had an impact on the current socio-political climate today around transgender and non-binary individuals. The goal of the Interrupting the Binary series is to discuss how we can help shift the framework to more than just a binary and create more space for people to self identify in different ways. Also discussed are issues such as cissexism, transphobia, and transmisogyny.
