The grill is out for this special Juneteenth weekend episode where Greggo & Skye & Sylvs are joined by Footie Mob OG board member DJ A-Ro and by Black Herons SG co-founder Dr. Jermaine Scott going this weekend's match on Juneteenth Sunday between Inter Miami and the Home Team where also Black Herons and Footie Mob are coming together for several events this weekend (pull up, Culture!) and we learn about the new group in Miami and what the Black Herons are looking to develop in the Miami area!
In the second half of the show we are joined briefly by Ty Billion$ and discuss the groundbreaking 10-year deal with Apple TV and what this means as the league increases their streaming presence (with no blackouts!), but does it come at the expense of maintaining a linear TV presence? We discuss our concerns and what we should be looking forward to.
And then headline story of the episode, today FIFA announced their 16 venues for the 2026 World Cup, hosted by the US, Mexico, and Canada, which will include ATLANTA, LA, and Miami! We recap the announcement give our thoughts on a surprise exclusion and how much money we're gonna need to buy tickets!
Lastly, we follow up on a topic discussed on this week's Shea Butter FC, where the auspicious exclusion of USMNT stalwart Christen Press, seemingly retaliatory for going against US Soccer and reporting ill behavior in past years.
