001 – Welcome to the Empire

Welcome to Expert Empire. This is the first episode of many more to come. In today’s episode I introduce myself to you so that you can get to know me a little better and as I lay out the expectations for Expert Empire.

I won’t create a transcript of this episode, but hopefully future episodes will have them so you can also read the notes of the call if you prefer that approach.

My name is Marshall Stevenson and I live in Calgary, Alberta which is in Canada. I have an amazing daughter and am soon to be marrying her mother. I won’t go into the details of that, but just know that it’s a great thing!

Each episode I record a conversation with someone I feel is an expert. A lot of that comes back to my definition of an expert which essentially is someone who knows more than I do about a particular subject. I tend to talk with people in areas that interest me like entrepreneurship, innovation and personal development. These are the type experts I seek out and the ones I’m truly interest in talking with…but I’ll honestly talk with everyone.
