For many of us, Wikipedia has become a essential part of our lives and our search history. It is probably the easiest and most convenient way to find information about any topic. However, did you know that only 22% of the biographies belong to women? The inequality in Wikipedia is only a reflection of the inequality in the real world. But, for a few years now a group of women are determined to change this reality.

Wikiesfera is a community of women that come together to edit Wikipedia. They aim to correct biases, expand women's biographies and creat new articles on relevant issues related to minorities and under-represented groups. To tell us more about their work and the importance of what they do, on this broadcast, we spoke with Patricia Horrillo, founder and project manager.
