Richard Kroehling is a multi-disciplinary artist who has worked in film, television, poetry, photography, painting, installations, and multimedia. With the documentary AFTER, examines the poetry of the Shoah and the Holocaust, and delves into the philosophical nature of both the process and the meanings behind the words; as well as how poetry can be used to heal. In addition to featuring poets such as Edward Hirsch and Cornelius Eddy, AFTER also takes on hybrid structures and contains fictional and semi-fictional scenes starring Academy Award-winner Melissa Leo and renowned poet and actor Geza Rohrig. The film will be released in New York November 1st and in Los Angeles November 8th.
