I want to give you one thought that can help you in ANY situation. This, right now, this life that you are living is a dream come true. The home I live in, the people I am surrounded by, the food I eat, the medications available to me, the vacation ahead, the school my children attend, the job my husband has, the fact that we have computers and beds and cars. This is all a dream come true. You can’t just say it over and over in your head. Well you can, but it won’t land the same. Life is Hard. Guess what? I agree. These things are hard. Being challenged in any way is hard. Telling yourself “this is hard” just doesn’t help. “I wish this was easier” is a similar thought. You are wishing yourself out of the situation you are in. I get it-there are many trials in my life that I wanted to WISH away. But-you know as well as I do, that just doesn’t work. We are humans, so we go through hard things in our lives. That is just a fact of life. Sometimes, when we are in a really good mindset, that is enough. Just to accept the FACt that we go through hard things simply because we are human. Other times, those hard things that we and our kids experience just seem to crush us.
