Imagine being a man with a happy family, wife, two beautiful sons and then one day your entire world falls apart. Now with a broken marriage, two sons missing without a trace, a search that ends in a battle with Poland refusing to return the sons that you searched so long to find. We will hear how this father searched for his sons after they vanished in March of 2009 to learn that their mother had brought them to the United States from Canada and subsequently fled to Poland with them. The Hague convention is designed to assist parents who are attempting to regain their children from foreign soil after a non-custodial parent settles on that soil with abducted children. Let’s listen as Mr. Stephen Watkins tells us of the horrific nightmare that he has endured while attempting to get his children back from Poland as they continue to ignore The Hague Convention treaty and how they are still to date refusing to return his children to him and what he is doing to get his sons back. This will be an interesting story that will show us the difficulties many face in retrieving their custodial children from foreign soil if the non custodial parent flees the country with them.
