Tim Buxton’s story is powerful. He and his family arrived in Iraq on the same day ISIS took Mosul in 2014. The region had changed overnight. Slaughter, torture, and slavery were imminent for ethnic and religious minorities – unless they could escape.
Tim shares what it was like at this immensely rewarding and devastating time. The power of love in desperate times. Tim shares what got him through emotionally and also the families last minute escape from Iraq.
In 2017, he and his family moved back to Australia, where they founded “You Belong”, a charity that empowers refugees to integrate and thrive in Australia. Tim also hosts a “Justice Matters”.
