Every year as school began, it seemed that each of my primary school teachers would have us write a paragraph or an essay about our summer's activities. As August finishes and school in most of the US has reconvened, this seemed a good time to reflect on my adventures the last few months.
Historical markers include astronomy, Bulgaria and Hungary, Warsaw Pact nations squelching an uprising and Charles Darwin's theory of evolution.
