Former unified heavyweight champ Andy Ruiz returns to the ring for the first time in nearly two years Saturday night in Los Angeles on the undercard of the Terence Crawford-Israil Madrimov main event. And, before he steps back through the ropes he talked at length about his return and hopes for another title shot with our insider Dan Rafael on the "Fight Freaks Unite Podcast."
Andy also discusses his Saturday opponent Jarrell Miller, who ironically failed a drug test that allowed Ruiz the chane to kayo unified champ Anthony Joshua in New York in 2019. It's was one of the most shocking upsets in heavyweight history. Now, Joshua won the immediate rematch six months later and Ruiz hasn't been back on the title stage since.
