I. Jesus engaged in Prayer.
Jesus spoke these things; and raising His eyes to heaven, He said, “Father, the hour has come; glorify Your Son, so that the Son
may glorify You, just as You gave Him authority over all mankind, so that to all whom You have given Him, He may give eternal life. And
this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent. John 17:1-3 (NASB)

Therefore He is also able to save forever those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.
Hebrews 7:25 (NASB)

So they removed the stone. And Jesus raised His eyes, and said, “Father, I thank You that You have heard Me. 42 But I knew that
You always hear Me; nevertheless, because of the people standing around I said it, so that they may believe that You sent Me.”

II. We have been equipped with Prayer.
If you remain in Me, and My words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. John 15:7 (NASB)

But as for you, when you pray, go into your inner room, close your door, and pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who
sees what is done in secret will reward you. Matthew 6:6 (NASB)

III. We are empowered for Prayer.

And My people who are called by My name humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will
hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14 (NASB)

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and pleading with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to
God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7 (NASB)
