The spotted lanternfly is like a larger and more damaging version of the lady beetle, with its distinctive spotted appearance and a belief that it can light up like a firefly. It's fascinating to learn that the lanternfly is actually a leaf hopper, not a fly, and I will be describing its beauty and life cycle in detail. It's important to note the negative impact of this insect, such as the presence of black mold and its preference for the invasive tree of heaven.
