Captive to Sin?

Zechariah | Chapter 14:1-10 Pt. I ~ Episode 935:

When we examine the Word of God, there is a tendency to only take note of the times a nation was brought into captivity by another nation; for a period of time before the Lord delivered them, and restored them. What the people didn't fully understand was that those practicing sin and wickedness; they're already captives of their own lusts / desires. They're already been placed in captivity by themselves and what they want to do; or, what they feel they should be doing. Many people don't understand or don't recognize, that just because you do not physically see the shackles and the bonds does not mean that you're free either. There were multiple times. In history where people thought they were free, but they eventually found out that they were enslaved because of their own lusts and desires. Jesus, came and set us free; and made a way for all that would believe Him, seek Him and His righteousness, would be free now - and for eternity.
