You say to yourself… “oh once I get this gig I am SET and it won’t even feel like work because I KNOW I’m going to love doing THAT job.” Well… what if you got it and it’s not what you dreamed of? Or it is and you feel like you just don’t enjoy it as much. Do you stay? Or do you pivot? Do you leave your dream city with your dream job and your dream IKEA furniture set and start over? Well… our guest Melanie J. Sims went on a journey similar to the one we’re discussing. She takes us on a mini excursion of her route in media… from the beginning stages of journalism to going back to school to learn about advertising and then ultimately finding her way as a voice over artist.
