Love 80 Retro-Future Tech? You'll probably not want to skip this one! Elder Scrolls 3 Oblivion REMAKE! Not sure why everyone keeps calling this (as of date of posting this, now confirmed) upcoming REMAKE a remaster. It's very clearly more than a texture update and a frame rate bump if the leaks are to be suggested. Hopefully Bethesda doesn't call it a remaster. Star Wars Zero Company Another previously leaked game got a confirmation from EA and a short trailer. It appears to be set in the age of Clone Wars with a very strange collection of team members to include a Jedi(?) and a Mandalorian (possibly from death watch). Good Morning CoinDroppers! Today we're talking about three upcoming games at various points of development. First up is a game that a college classmate told me about and intrigued me. So we're looking into it and it maybe a cursed game. After that we talk the new trailer for Silent Hill f, and closing out the main topics, the Disco Elysium devs announce their next project with a teaser. Darkfall Rise of Agon Darkfall: Rise of Agon is being developed by players of the original Darkfall game and boy has that franchise had an interestingly troubled history. Join us as we dive down this interesting rabbit hole of an MMORPG franchise. Silent Hill f Silent Hill f has shown off some more footage and the game looks great. There's a few questions Tim and I have though. Why is Silent Hill now in Japan being chief among them. Obviously the devs behind Silent Hill have always been Japanese but Silent Hill has always been a location in the united states. So this seems like an interesting shift. Will it have a reason besides "we want it in Japan now."? Time will tell. Project [C4] What's left of the team that produced Disco Elysium has released a teaser for their next project code named Project [C4] aaaand that's about all we know so far. Good Morning Coindroppers! Today we have a another great show for you along with a surprise topic at the start of the show. I won't spoil it here so hopeful you enjoy it! Bolt Graphics Zeus GPU A start up company called Bolt Graphics has announced a new GPU they're working on called the Zeus and make the bold claim that its 10x more powerful than the new RTX 5090. Bold claims from a company that could disappear in a few years. However, they're going to be demoing these insane chips at GDC in just a few days. The real question though, is "will this even be affordable?" Styx: Blades of Greed The master of stealth returns! A new Styx game has just recently been announced and I'm juiced. As a long term fan of all things stealth and a fan of the first two Styx games I can't wait to be re-emersed into the strange dark fantasy world of Styx to steal some shit and assassinate stupid humans! (That sounds bad out of context, oh well!) Unfortunately no release date currently but what they've disclosed so far has me very interested! Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3 & 4 Remake Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1 & 2 were such a massive hit that it was almost guaranteed we'd see this collection and now we've got a release date. I for one was always a bigger fan of THPS 3 and 4 but probably only because I was slightly older when they came out. Either way we cant wait to shred through Foundry and the Airport all over again and hopefully, if this one does well, maybe we'll get Underground 1 & 2 Remakes? Fingers crossed. Both of us played the Game of Throne Kingsroad demo that was available on Steam Next Fest and went into the conversation completely blind of the other ones thoughts and discuss our individual opinions of the game. Blades of Fire 505 Games is publishing the next game from legendary developer MercuryStream. With one of the best Castlevania games under their belt (Lords of Shadow) I think it's safe to say this game has great odds of being a fantastic experience. We're excitedly optimistic about this games potential. Game of Thrones Kingsroad This game has no business being as good as it is. For a freemium mobile/pc game Tim and I were both blown away at how good the game was. If you want to the first hour or so of gameplay head over to Patreon where I've uploaded that for members to view Fable Reboot Delayed out of 2025 A massive delay was announced for Fable pushing into a 2026 release window. This long a of a delay is quiet surprising. With Assassins Creed 4ish month delay they managed to make a lot of important changes. What changes can we hope for or expect from Fable with this long of a push? Good Morning CoinDroppers Today we're talking about an interesting new post apocalyptic survival horror game, some solid rumors about Rocksteady's next game, and Gothic Remake's new gameplay footage. M.I.N.S.K Minsk is a new indie horror survival game set in a post apocalyptic world. You take the roll of an engineer that rebuilt a construction robot to get needed supplies. The game play looks a bit like The Last of Us in that it's third person and a shooter. The two devs working on this game added an interesting twist that has us raising our eyebrow. Let us know your thoughts. Batman Arkham Beyond? A recent rumor, and a leak from a few years back that has been scrubbed from the web, suggests that not only is Rocksteady back to doing what they do best, but very well could be working on A Batman Beyond game set in the future of the Arkham universe. All I can say is god I hope so. Gothic Remake Gothic has recently revealed some gameplay footage and (at the time of writing this) has a playable demo available on the Steam Next Fest right now!. EA CEO is a paste eater For whatever reason, the CEO of EA thinks the reason Dragon Age The Veilguard failed was because it wasn't live service. Welp, neither is Kingdom Come Deliverance II and that game made its cost back in 24hrs. Once again it seems like the people who run these companies and straight up out of touch with their target market and consumers. Next Battlefield, reminiscent of Bad Company 2 A recent clip of gameplay from the next Battlefield game reveals its set in a modern setting and shows of intensely destructible environments (maybe thanks to Havok engine? Discussed in Episode 84 ) and seems reminiscent of the great times had in Battlefield Bad Company 2. Switch 2 Pricing Concerns With the event around the corner we still have concerns about the price around the Switch 2. The original switch STILL hasn't seen a price drop so will it when the Switch 2 comes out or will the Switch 2 be priced above the current model? There's a lot to discuss and not enough information available yet. All I can hope, is that if it's $399.99 hopefully they bundle it with a game. QUICKFIRE NEWS Pantheon Rise of the Fallen Dev Accused of Enriching a Guild (It's baseless). MGS 3 Remake has a release date of Aug 28 2025. TakeTwo CEO confirms release window for GTA VI to be Fall of 2025. XBOX/PC Indie Dungeons Of Hinterberg Coming to PS5 on March 13th. New Castlevania game reportedly in the works. Good Morning CoinDroppers! Today we've got a mix of news for you to include some struggles for Sony, the potential death rattle of Bioware, and some talk about Dune Awakening the survival game that might finally push the genre forward. Sony Woes Sony hasn't had a great few weeks. Between the broken launch of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth's AND Spider-Man 2's PC launch they're not in a great graces with the PC crowd. They also recently decided to remove the PSN requirement for PC players which doesn't make any sense to Tim or I. Sony also has a pirate issue on PC and in my opinion it may be self inflicted. The Death Rattle of Bioware? Bioware has been gutted in the wake of the total failure that was Dragon Age Veilguard. It seems like pretty much everyone who touched that game has been let go. While that sounds bad it might have a small glimmer of light. Reportedly, what's left of Bioware is all "laser focused" on the next Mass Effect and the team is comprised of a small number of veterans from the previous games. This sounds good but we'll have to wait and see what they show whenever that happens. In my opinion, don't hold your breath... Dune Awakening Dune awakening is shaping up to be the best version of the survival game genre. Funcom is dedicated to "Making the game fit Dune not Dune fit the game" and that statement alone makes it clear they aren't fucking around. Tim and I talk a bit about a recent article from PC gamer discussing the first 7 hours of gameplay. In addition to this we discuss the difficulty of being interested in a game and wanting to know more but not wanting to know more so you can go in blind and experience the game without expectations. Today we're talking about some of the best news from Microsoft in recent memory, the return of a beloved physics engine that dominated the PS3 and Xbox 360 era, and analysts say new games should cost HOW MUCH?! Xbox Developer Direct: Ninja Gaiden 4 & 2 Black Remaster Xbox recently held a Developer Direct where they announced Ninja Gaiden 4 and a Remaster of Ninja Gaiden 2 Black that is available now! Xbox has announced a new approach to funding games by not requiring that they only release on Xbox. This is good news for the industry because it means more games which is always good and with Ninja Gaiden 4 in the works SOLEY because of Microsoft funding I'd say this is the best decision they've made in two generations of hardware. The Return of the HAVOK Physics Engine In the PS3 and Xbox 360 days HAVOK was the go to engine for a vast majority of games. It's real world destruction physics made games like Battlefield Bad Company 1 and 2 a possibility along with a laundry list of other games. While other engines have come and been able to achieve most of what HAVOK once could they've returned to show their newest tech demo of their amazing engine as a plugin for UE5. I'm stoked and cannot wait to see this amazing engine back at work in games in the future. They want HOW MUCH for New Games?! A recent report suggests that analysts think games are too cheap. Far to cheap and it's insane how much they feel new games would cost. Hear our conversation and our thoughts on the topic.
