Happy Holidays to all! An Addendum to this episode. At the time of this recording Sony Pictures had issued a full withdrawal of the film The Interview from theaters. They had since opened the film to a limited theatrical release, and made available to video on demand services. Which was the right thing to do, but as I said before this recording happened at the time Sony pictures had the stance of caving to pressure and threats issued by North Korea. Which set the Merovingian off on a rant that was too good to cut out during the edit of this episode when Sony reversed their decision. Now that that's out of the way lets get down to business. We like to try and maintain a level of professionalism that by all rights we shouldn't. We don't get paid for doing this podcast, we do it for the fun of it. We don't claim to be what we're not, unlike the Game journos that when you break it down are basically a glorified PR firm for the game dev studios. They claim to be "professional journalists" when in fact they are bloggers, commentators, and shills that try to hide behind academia as justification of their beliefs. Well today with us is a true independent journalist. For the sake of anonymity we refer to her simply as Mattt's sister. Don't let that dissuade you into thinking that she's shilling for us, no, no, no. She has done her best to steer clear of all things #GamerGate related, so I instead get a lot of what real journalist practices that she would have to adhere to, and the game journos, & their websites fail at, on every level. It took me a few days longer to edit this than I anticipated, I wanted to give people an alternative to A Christmas Story. We all know everyone just watches constantly during the #24HoursOfAChristmasStory So I give a top 9 alternate Christmas movies that everyone should watch. Well the holiday festivities were defiantly in full swing as we were getting hammered during this episode. Which I think is why we had the most fun... well that and when Oberyn Stuck his tongue into the Merovingian's ear and to quote him "Licked the very crevices of my brain" It was that kind of a recording tonight. I've seen on his twitter feed as well he's not afraid to throw down in an intellectual debate with the SJW's that attack him for in their minds supporting a hate group. I vent my frustrations about Assassin's Creed Unity and the over reliance on the inter-connectivity of the Companion app on your phone, and the AC Initiates website. I just want to play the fucking game, without being distracted by my phone and my computer trying to share face time. Target & KMart in Australia caved to feminist pressure and wont sell GTA V for the new consoles anymore. A Lot of sex acts can't be depicted in the UK any longer. Yet the argument that's always made by the SJW crowd is that it's not about censorship... sure looks like censorship to people with a functioning frontal lobe. As the Title suggests this episode we do focus a lot on social media. Tackling the bullshit associated with game journalists regarding #GamerGate, Kanye West calling out handicapped fans for not standing up, and being a typical fuck head. The National Felon League NFL employing a ton of basically unsupervised spoiled rotten children apparently. The Merovingian lashes out regarding the self serving and self promoting celebs that weren't doing the "ALS" Ice Bucket challenge, they were just doing the Ice Bucket Challenge without bringing up what the cause was supporting. There has been a challenge thrown down that I've accepted. It's the 30 day gamer challenge. I've been answering everyday so far, check back daily to see my answers. But since Merovingian is the last of a dying breed, he's the last man alive not using any form of social media, so he answers some of the questions on the spot.
