La voce che incontriamo oggi è quella di Francesco Pavone, è direttore del Laboratorio Europeo per la Spettroscopia non Lineare dell'Università di Firenze, coordina un gruppo di ricerca nell'ambito dello Human Brain Project dell'Unione Europea che punta a costruire una mappa per simulare l'attività del cervello umano e guida anche l'unico gruppo di ricerca italiano coinvolto nella mappatura del cervello in un altro grande progetto internazionale, l'americano Brain Project.
