1 Patti Truant Anderson: Polling and the Surprising Results Around What People Really Think About the Food System 24:55
Text “Do people even want to know about some of these issues? Because I think some of the meat production concerns, it's kind of like people would rather in some cases, I think some people might not really want to know all the nitty gritty. They don't want to know how the sausage is made. That poses an interesting question and challenge about how you communicate about some of these issues, when maybe there's a resistance among a subset of people who don't want to know more.” - Patti Truant Anderson This is the fourth episode in a special four-part series where we go deep into the food system with some of the brightest minds from Johns Hopkins Center for a Livable Future, an interdisciplinary center based out of the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. One of the reasons that we did this series is because we're about to enter another four years with the Trump administration; and last time, as we know, the Trump administration was pretty terrible for the food system in terms of climate, public health, worker safety, and of course, for the animals. This conversation is with Patty Truant Anderson. Patty is a senior program officer at the center. Part of her work at the Center focuses on public opinion polling around the food system. These polls can inform decisions by lawmakers. The great news is we're not nearly as polarized as it might seem. There is a lot of hope in the results. 1 The Shocking Truth About the Isolation and Loneliness Pandemic in 2024 and how to fix it in 2025 53:05
In this episode, Steve Hamoen and Matt O'Neill explore how mindset and emotional states drive success. They discuss the podcast's evolution, the impact of emotional states on happiness, and teaching methods. Matt shares insights from the good mood revolution, focusing on reprogramming the mind for positivity. They cover Steve's morning routine, the effects of isolation, and the map of consciousness. The conversation touches on the hierarchy of emotions, the role of anger and pride in growth, and building positivity through humility and responsibility. They conclude with strategies for overcoming sales fears and the power of love in sales. Check out his book: The Good Mood Revolution https://amzn.to/4gFWQfz The Progression of Moods by Matt O'Neill Negative Moods (Destructive to Energy and State) Shame – "This feeling that there's something wrong with me." The lowest mood and the most destructive. Guilt – "I should be punished." Staying here prevents growth without self-forgiveness. Hopelessness – "Things are bad, and they’re not going to get better." Apathy or a lack of action. Sadness – "We finally feel remorse and might ask for help." A slightly elevated state where one acknowledges what’s wrong. Fear – "Everything's going to go wrong." High energy but misdirected, often leading to bad decisions. Desire – "I want better." Focused on external goals and material things but still a negative state because it cannot fulfill internal needs. Anger – "I'm fed up, and I need to change." Can be a motivating force if used constructively but remains destructive if uncontrolled. Pride – "I am better than others." The final negative mood and a false positive. It prevents growth because comparison dominates self-worth. Positive Moods (Elevated and Constructive States) Humility – "I don't need to compare myself; I can accept myself as I am." The foundation for all positive emotions. Responsibility – "I am responsible for everything in my life." Taking ownership of actions, thoughts, and outcomes. Confidence – "I know who I am and trust that I can handle life." A deep, unshakable trust in oneself. Acceptance – "I accept my limits and the reality I face." Letting go of resistance and embracing the present. Gratitude – "I am thankful for everything that happens." Finding appreciation, even in adversity. Love – "I love what is happening in my life." Love follows gratitude and allows for joy to emerge. Joy – "Loving reality brings joy." A deep state of happiness that stems from appreciating and loving life as it is. Peace – "I am at peace, no matter what happens." The highest state; calmness and serenity regardless of external chaos. I’ve followed the strategies and spent over 7 years in corporate sales and learned that the scalability of my clients business isn’t down to ONE strategy that worked for someone else! And it’s not that these strategies are wrong. It’s just that they’re not designed with YOUR unique blueprint in mind. Using Human Design as a core tool I help my clients drop the “should’s” and instead create new rules of engagement. Because you AND your business are unique which requires a unique approach! Using Sales by Design is how I’ve helped entrepreneurs around the world convert higher-level clients with much less effort, create programs that felt more like play but are very profitable, and helped them understand how to organize their team so it allows for maximum growth and more. Here’s how: 👉🏼 Using your unique Human Design Bodygraph I’ll help you understand HOW you are uniquely wired and I’ll help you recalibrate your brain for success 👉🏼 Then, using all of that, we’ll map out simple steps that will move you toward your desired success outcome in a way that feels aligned and true for you so you can attract higher level clients and get paid more by doing less! 👉🏼 And all this while using your unique Human Design strategy so you can see how you’re best designed to work and scale. I.E. How you best work with a team, what service models might feel best for you to maximise profit AND enjoyment, how you can best use your design to attract clients but also how work with them in a way that feels so easy + effortless....your Human Design will be used to create YOUR strategy! So you can stop forcing and pushing yourself to follow a formula in your business that feels rigid and leaves you spending more of your profit on resources that TAKE time away from your day and exhaust you... ...and instead create a business and team that works in alignment with you and allows you to express ALL parts of you in a way that feels good!
