The two broads have a lovely conversation with Kent Kearney, discussing his first novel, "Eyes That Do Not See." Kent caught Lauri's attention when she learned he was born in the town of Kearney, NE, the same town where she had grown up and saw a review of the book on a Facebook group. His book tells the tales of his Great Grandfather and takes you through Ireland, an orphan, the potato famine, immigrating, the civil war and the trail out west where homesteading was the dream. "There was nothing about the book I didn't like" said Lauri. Also interesting and as a lovely bonus to the podcast is the fact that Kent is 77 years old and knocked out his first book.
