About Humza Zafar

Humza Zafar graduated from the University of Windsor in Ontario with a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering. Before entering the real estate industry, he worked as an electrical controls engineer at Philadelphia International Airport. His goal was to generate passive income and become financially independent within a few years.

Zafar had purchased his first real estate property, a duplex in his hometown of Windsor, Ontario, by November 2019. He then rented out the two duplexes as student cohousing, where each student paid per room per month. He wanted to offer rentals through Airbnb after realizing its cash-flow potential.

In 2020, he became an Airbnb host. And since then, he has grown it significantly and now rents 130 properties across the United States, which he then sublets on Airbnb, a practice known as Airbnb arbitrage. He hopes to have 180 properties by the end of 2022.
