Floriane Deparis, Registered Holistic Nutritionist, works as a community educator with a focus on mental health. She runs a tiny but mighty business called Be Thy Food, developing curriculums and preparing manuals to guide people from tired and hyper-wired to grounded and deeply connected to their body. She applies holistic knowledge and principles to her teachings, and works co-operatively with other disciplines, holistic or allopathic, to best serve her community’s needs. Her purpose is to caretake and protect thriving life, which has led her to become a full-time child-care provider. This profession is what allows her to cultivate presence, emotional intelligence, and intuition, plus maintain a very active lifestyle and become an expert at creating healthy, tasty, simple, and versatile meals. She takes care of herself as seriously as she takes care of children, and provides guidance on practices that have changed her life such as yoga and menstrual awareness. Recognizing that health is meant to be a life-long creation process and acknowledging that each person is biochemically individual, her mission is grounded in the awareness of the interrelationship of mind, body and spirit; and the importance of addressing these interactive factors.
