Mark is an improviser and Rick is just awesome...and the two of them have watched WAY too many movies over the years. In March 2014 they decided to record their frequent film discussions and in 2016 they added a Brian to join in the fun! Together they revisited some of the classic films of their youth at times with a guest...while often getting completely off topic. The cinematic comedy may have wrapped up in 2019 but you can still check out the back episodes to join them in discovering if their childhood favorites held up. Won't you join them at the theater? It’s the VERY LAST EPISODE of the podcast (sheds tear) and Mark, Rick and Brian are saying Goodbye after 5 years of having extreme movie fun in style. The fellas share some stats about the podcast's run including the Most Popular Episode, the Longest Episode and the primary Go-To Actors that have appeared in most of their "reviewsits." The lads connect the last movie they covered to the very first movie to come full circle, play the "Batman Sound FX Game" and the "Five Dollar Bin Favorite Characters Game." The gents also read off the final completed Stack Rank List, point out which films were the biggest surprises and biggest disappointments to them upon revisit and Brian gifts a very special present to Mark's future cinemaniac. Before providing their final words, the "Box Office Buds" get a last bad transition in there, allow a sign off from Mrs. Chip and friends....and have just one more trick up their sleeves. Bill and Ted may have created the question of whether the podcast ever existed in the first place but YES IT DID and we THANK YOU, CINEMANIACS!!…

It's the Penultimate episode of the podcast and the lads celebrate by sharing some more BIG NEWS from the Mark camp, enjoying some substitute cigars and deciding to save the teary goodbyes until the Part 2 Finale. The gents brainstorm a new Full House spin-off based upon Lori Loughlin being in the news, go into a strange deep dive of the Highlander movies and each share a number of select films that they didn't get to cover over the past 5 years aka the "Wish (We Had Done) List." The fellas also have a mini "reviewsit" of Batman & Robin to finally complete the quadrilogy, run through the list of cold puns uttered by Arnold's Mr. Freeze and come up with some heat puns for a what-could-have-been 5th movie of the series titled "Batman, Robin & Batgirl." There's one episode to go....if you miss this one it will be the BANE of your existence!…
With the Final Episodes upon them Mark, Rick and Brian share some final thoughts on the television parody Stay Tuned, while also taking a poll of falling asleep with the TV On vs the TV Off. Inspired by TV Game Shows, the lads get into 'answer mode' by trying to guess the budget of this parody film, the best known for projects for John Ritter out of his great filmography and play a round of the IMDB Keyword game with some hidden themes kept from the players. The lads also recall the interactive Choose-Your-Own-Adventure movie Mr. Payback that they caught in the theater, engage in some saucy Rhyme Time and share the trailers of some more TV-to-Film big screen adaptations currently in production for Hollywood. In a World.....where grown men talk about movies they saw when they were kids, join these "Goofy Game Show Hosts" by tweeting them @5DollarBinPOD to risk it all on some countless cinema categories!…

It's the FINAL FOUR EPISODES! Mark, Rick and Brian welcome back returning guest Josh Damoulakis for a "reviewsit" of the TV overload known as Stay Tuned. The gents discuss how this television parody movie is extremely difficult to find online or streaming, run through the complete list of shows and commercials that were mocked throughout the film and they get all excited to play the game of "Spot the Spota" once again involving the calling card of frequent "reviewsit" director Peter Hyams. The lads also ponder if Home Improvement got some Tool Time segment ideas from a few of the scenes, they add some more modern shows to update the sadistic programming of 'Hellevision' and engage in quite a lot of talk about donuts. Turn off that TV before you get sucked in (literally) as this one is much safer and also more fun than taking "Doogie fishing"....if you know what we mean!…
Mark, Rick and Brian share some final thoughts on Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure, while also holding a mini "reviewsit" of its sequel Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey. The lads learn of a different transportation mode originally intended before the time traveling phone booth was used, how there was supposed to be a 3rd member of Wyld Stallyns named 'Bob' and how Bill & Ted were almost the cause of the Titanic sinking. The fellas also research the history of the Ziggy Pig ice cream challenge, recap some disturbing episodes of sitcoms such as that time Jesse James murdered The Brady Bunch or when Punky Brewster fought a fire cave demon and they present the epic conclusion to their new tale "Bill & Ted's Unprecedented Expedition." Just punch in @5DollarBinPOD into the magical phone booth keypad and get ready to join these "Brady Bandits" in some rather skewed looks at history!…

Mark, Rick and Brian have another time traveling "reviewsit" with this time on the most awesome Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure. After taking advantage of the rules of circular time travel, the lads ponder the questions of whether the phone booth was inspired by Doctor Who, if Bill is the leader of the duo and what high school clique the heroes would have belonged to. The gents also point out the cringe worthy scene, talk rumors of a potential 3rd film and express interest in a side movie where we'd see all the goodbyes to the historical friends post-project. On top of that, the fellas learn of Mark's brotherly saloon fights, hear about which Brady Bunch episode traumatized Rick and they pick up some more characters from history along the way. So much most excellent goodness from these "Myld Stallyns" you'll have to travel back to the start of the episode again and again to catch it all!…
Mark, Rick and Brian share some final thoughts on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III, while also walking through the entire TMNT trilogy as a whole. The lads learn that there was a proposed 5th turtle if there had been a fourth film of the series, Brian relays some found footage of the TMNT Rock Tour and Christmas Special and they play the Parents Guide Game on the theme of comic book movies. The fellas also come up with some more holidays deserving of a turtle TV special, a victory song based on the Charmin commercials breaks out and the fire to still find Ninja Turtle Pies out in the world is reignited in Mark. Whether you a pizza with or a pizza without anchovies person, tweet these "Superb Snackers" @5DollarBinPOD then listen to this one over and over....because repetition of podcast listening is more acceptable than pacing back and forth like a feudal Japan background extra (who happens to be Rick's favorite character)!…

Mark, Rick and Brian have a "reviewsit" of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III (unofficially subtitled: 'Turtles in Time'), to finish out the original TMNT Trilogy. The lads ponder if the lack of Shredder cause this 3rd film of the series to feel somewhat off, point out how the special effects company changed to non-Henson leading to noticeable suit malfunctions and come up with the more mature version of the classic "Wet Willy" maneuver. The fellas also become in awe of the magic cannonball demonstration, Rick has a breakthrough from a childhood toy revelation and they all work together to make a new kind of pizza that would be the perfect snack to consume in feudal Japan times. Grab your warrior armor, a mystical scepter and then join these "Silver Screen Samurais" as they jump back through time with some Turtle Power. This one's more fun than being on the receiving end of a "Moist William!"…
It's a new year in the Movie Cave, Cinemaniacs, and this quickie episode contains a special announcement on 2019 updates for the podcast and the "Film Fellas" of Mark, Rick and Brian. Please listen in for the Big News and then it will be back to the regularly scheduled full movie "reviewsit" in the next episode. Thanks!…
Mark, Rick and Brian share some final thoughts on Scrooged, while wishing the cinemaniacs the happiest of holidays. After exchanging some quick gifts, the lads share the go-to Christmas movies in their rotations during a yearly viewing, discover a Ghostbusters/Christmas Carol animated crossover and ponder who would win in a fight between famous curmudgeons Ebenezer Scrooge and The Grinch. The fellas also run through a list of the best adaptations of A Christmas Carol ranked from worst to best, play a Christmas movie-themed Keyword Game and recall the holiday TV movie directed by Arnold Schwarzenegger. 'Twas the Night Before Christmas and all through the house, not a creature was stirring....except for some "Holiday Hooligans," known as Ho-Ho-Mark, Ho-Ho-Rick and Ho-Ho-Brian, as your little ear-drummer boys. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!…
Mark, Rick and Brian have a "reviewsit" of the Bill Murray Christmas film Scrooged to celebrate the holiday season. Mark sympathizes with the main character Frank Cross being accused of being "raised by televelsion," the lads spot a random appearance by Miles Davis and other famous musicians and they get a kick out of seeing the 'Murray Brothers Cuatro" all in the same movie. The fellas also learn Brian's theory on character names when they are the same as the actor playing the role, ponder what a Scrooged remake may look like if it were a Netflix original and meet some brand new substitute Christmas Ghosts that arrive to show any humbugs the error of their ways. Turn the channel over to the IBC network because these "Tiny Tims"....err "Mini Movie Cavers?" are here to help you get into the holiday spirit(s)!…
Mark and Brian share some final thoughts on The Wizard, while Rick is stuck tending to some "sick'ns." The gents transform the film into a quick Folger's Coffee commercial, identify the actor's name in the movie that would work best as a clown and they discuss the comeback of Fred Savage in recent years aka the "Fredaissance." The lads also touch upon the Nintendo, Super Nintendo and Playtation Classic systems out for the holidays, play a guessing game based upon the Top 50 best-selling NES titles of all time and face some super secret additional opponents after defeating Mike Tyson in Punch-Out!! Tweet your preferred home gaming system @5DollarBinPOD and then check out these "Video Game Guys" as they reconnect with your ol' pals Mario, Zelda, Yoshi and Mega Man!…

Mark, Rick and Brian have a "reviewsit" of the video game classic The Wizard, while wearing their eating pants over the Thanksgiving holiday. The fellas conjure up memories of how this film first introduced Super Mario Bros 3 to the world, how they desperately wanted a Power Glove in their youth and they take a walk down their own personal home game console histories. The fellas also debate whether the film, which they dub as "Rain Boy," is just a 2 hour advertisement for Nintendo, run through a list of all the games mentioned throughout the story (including some you've never even heard of) and ponder what the movie may have been like if Jeff Bridges had been cast in the role of "Uncle Dude." Whether you're a Player 1 or Player 2, grab a controller because this episode is more fun than getting 50,000 points on Double Dragon!…
Mark, Rick and Brian share some final thoughts on The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension, while enjoying that "The Heat Is On" in the Movie Cave. The lads point out a weird coincidence that often occurs right after they do a full "reviewsit," clarify the timeline of the events in the movie and watch some video of the Buckaroo Banzai PC game. The fellas also do a deep dive into the special features found on the DVD including the alternate opening with Jamie Lee Curtis, the long list of deleted scenes and the mysterious secret villain cut out of the final film. All this plus a rundown of the entire roster of the Hong Kong Cavaliers (with a few newer additions who just signed up). The fellas also ponder whether the long awaited sequel would work today while sharing some latest news on reboot rumors, make comparisons to the fictional film from The Office "Threat Level Midnight" and read off the list of 'John' alien names (while also adding some more of their own). If you're a rock star, scientist, brain surgeon, samurai or superhero....or even none of these....this episode is for you!…

The gents discuss the Warner Bros. strategic release of the film against the Dick Tracy movie, recap the Key & Peele sketch about brainstorming all the wacky Gremlins and learn how the director came to have free reign during the making. The lads also ponder whether Gremlins may be within the same shared universe as Growing Pains, play a round of "King of the Thing" pitting your favorite Looney Tunes against one another and they try to obey the rules of owning an AMC Gremlin car. Mark shares how he used to watch this movie when he was young in the coatroom during parties his parents attended, add a proposed plot point that could have added Judge Reinhold back into this sequel and identify the multiple cameos and pop culture references throughout the film. The lads also determine the character of Daniel Clamp to be an allusion to Trump, Richard Branson and other business magnates, compare the 'real-world' interruption scenes that featured Hulk Hogan or John Wayne depending on the version and they even discover a "Rick Gremlin" within the brood. Is this episode civilized? No, clearly not, it is FUN but in no way civilized!…
