This is your safe space to dive into the beautiful chaos of chasing big dreams while keeping it authentic. Here, we keep it raw and relatable because let’s face it, success is rarely a straight line. Grab your Alani or your spicy marg and join me for couch-convo energy that feels like chatting with your business bestie. Together, we’re spilling the tea, sharing the wins (and the fails), and proving that you can have a thriving business and a fulfilling personal life without sacrificing one for the other. ×The messy middle: it’s uncomfortable, uncertain, and often overlooked—but it’s also where the magic happens. In this episode of She Is Going Somewhere , I’m diving into the realities of the messy middle—the in-between phase where you’re no longer at the starting line but not quite at the finish line either. Sound familiar? Maybe you’re there right now, and if so, this episode is your permission slip to embrace it fully. Let’s chat about what the messy middle really is, why it’s not a sign of failure, and how you can reframe this part of your journey as an essential step toward building a business and life you love. What You’ll Learn in This Episode Why the Messy Middle Is Normal: It’s easy to feel like you’re falling behind when you’re stuck in the in-between, but the truth is, the messy middle isn’t a sign of failure—it’s proof that you’re growing, learning, and figuring it out as you go. Mapping Your Origin Story: I’ll walk you through an exercise that completely shifted my mindset: mapping out the pivotal moments of my journey, starting from the first defining memory of my adult life (spoiler: it’s when I dropped out of college). This exercise will help you see how every high and low has led you to where you are today. How the Messy Middle Showed Up in My Life: From quitting retail after my mom passed away to transitioning from She Can Systemize into a personal brand, I’m sharing my own messy middle moments and the lessons I learned along the way. Why Starting Before You’re Ready Matters: If I’d waited for the “perfect” conditions, this podcast episode wouldn’t exist. I’ll share why perfection isn’t the goal—and why the messy middle is where clarity and confidence are built. Key Takeaways If you only take away a few things from this episode, let it be these: The messy middle isn’t failure—it’s part of the process. Every late night, misstep, and pivot is shaping you into the person you’re meant to be. Mapping your journey can shift your perspective. Looking back at your story will show you how every struggle and success fits into the bigger picture. Start before you’re ready. Waiting for perfection will keep you stuck. Take messy, imperfect action and trust the process. Try This Exercise to Reframe Your Messy Middle Here’s the origin story exercise I mentioned in the episode: Think back to your first defining moment as an adult. What made you feel like you were stepping into your own? Map out the key moments that followed—the pivots, challenges, and wins. Look for patterns. What do these moments say about your journey and who you’re becoming? I’d love to hear your story! DM me on Instagram @TarynRachelle or tag me in a post. Let’s celebrate the messy middle together. It’s where you build resilience, gain clarity, and uncover the moments that define you. Whether you’re in it now or looking back on how far you’ve come, remember this: you’re not failing, you’re growing. Keep going, because girl, we’re all going somewhere .…
If you’ve been in the online business world, you’ve likely been told that hitting seven figures is the ultimate marker of success. But what if chasing that goal isn’t aligned with the life you truly want? Rethinking seven-figure goals has been a game-changer for me. For years, I believed that scaling bigger was the key to success. But when I mapped out my dream life, I realized that chasing multi-seven figures could pull me further from the life I wanted to create. Let’s dive into why bigger isn’t always better and how you can redefine success on your own terms. What You’ll Learn in This Episode Why Bigger Isn’t Always Better: Scaling to seven figures often comes with trade-offs like less time, more stress, and a higher risk of burnout. Rethinking seven-figure goals means questioning whether those trade-offs are worth it. How I Mapped Out My Dream Life: Learn the life-changing exercise I used (thanks to Lindsey Schwartz of Powerhouse Women ) to figure out what success actually looks like for me. The Trade-Offs of Scaling Bigger: I’ll share why I phased out $7,500 system builds and pivoted to coaching and events that aligned better with my life goals. Why Success Is Personal: Success isn’t one-size-fits-all. Rethinking seven-figure goals means creating a vision of success that’s uniquely yours. How I Mapped Out My Dream Life Mapping out my dream life was the turning point for me. Instead of focusing on revenue milestones, I started asking myself these questions: What does my ideal day-to-day life look like? How much money do I really need to live that life? What trade-offs am I willing—and not willing—to make? Rethinking seven-figure goals led me to realize that my dream life didn’t require a massive business. Instead, I focused on creating offers and opportunities that supported my priorities, like flexibility, family time, and meaningful work. Pro Tip: Sit down and map out your dream life. You might discover that your ideal version of success is closer than you think. The Trade-Offs of Scaling Bigger Walking away from $7,500 system builds might sound crazy, but it was one of the best decisions I’ve made. Why? Because scaling bigger would’ve required me to manage an agency-style business—and that’s not aligned with the life I want. Instead of following the traditional path, rethinking seven-figure goals gave me the freedom to pivot into coaching and events, where I could have a bigger impact without sacrificing my values. Key Takeaways Bigger Isn’t Always Better: Scaling up can sometimes pull you away from your dream life. It’s okay to ask, “Is this what I really want?” Dream Life Mapping: Take the time to figure out what success looks like for you—it might be closer than you think. Rethink Seven-Figure Goals: You don’t have to chase arbitrary milestones to be successful. Create a vision that aligns with your values and goals. Your Next Step: Join the Girls Girls Membership! Launching a podcast sounds fun, doesn’t it? Just grab a mic, record your thoughts, and share them with the world. But here’s the reality: podcasting takes work —and a lot of it. Why aren't many sharing honestly about the real effort behind launching a podcast? Don't worry, I got your back girl because I am not holding back. From planning your content to managing technical details and staying consistent, there’s so much more that happens behind the scenes. In this episode of She Is Going Somewhere , I’m sharing the effort that it really takes to launch (or relaunch) a podcast. We’ll talk about the tools, strategies, and time commitment involved, plus how to know if podcasting is right for you. Why Podcasting Takes Work Here’s the truth: podcasting is rewarding, but it’s no walk in the park. Whether you’re starting fresh or relaunching like I did, there’s real effort behind creating a show that aligns with your business and brand. Take my podcast, She Is Going Somewhere , as an example. Relaunching it meant developing new systems, recording + editing my intro, building a hype team, and dedicating serious time to editing, scheduling, and promoting episodes. Every piece of this puzzle required planning—and more importantly, a willingness to learn as I went. So yes, there is real effort behind launching a podcast but that does not mean the work is not worth it! Tools That Make Podcasting Easier While podcasting takes work, the right tools can make the process much smoother. Here’s what I use to simplify my workflow: Riverside : Perfect for recording and editing high-quality episodes. Captivate : My hosting platform of choice, with features like dynamic ad insertion to keep content fresh. Lethal Legal Podcast Guest Waiver Contract : This contract protects my show and ensures professionalism. Use code SHEISGOINGSOMEWHERE for $10 off! How I Built Momentum When I relaunched She Is Going Somewhere , I didn’t do it alone. I leaned on a hype squad —a group of supportive women with aligned audiences who helped spread the word. Building this team allowed me to focus on creating high-value content while my squad handled the buzz. Pro tip: if you’re launching a podcast (or any big project), rally your own hype squad to amplify your efforts! Is Podcasting Right for You? If you’re thinking about starting a podcast, here are some things to consider: Time Commitment: Podcasting takes work—not just recording, but editing, creating support content, and promoting episodes. Budget: Do you have the resources for tools or outsourcing? If not, are you prepared to DIY for a while? Audience Fit: Does podcasting align with your audience and your business goals?
