One of the tenets of my own business is that you should find your people and create genuine connections. I'm a big believer in community building (that's why I have the Strategy for Creatives Facebook group !). Much of our business's success relies on who we know and the community we have around us. In this episode, I'm chatting with Inbal Claudio, founder of Like Minded Collective, on her journey building a social media platform to foster community among women business owners and what it was like to create in tech. As a candle maker turned tech founder, her passion for networking with women entrepreneurs led her to create Like Minded Collective, a social media platform for dreamers, creators, and female founders. When it comes to going full-time in your business, one of the scariest things (at least in the US) can be figuring out where to get health insurance. Because healthcare (for now, at least) is tied to employment, going full-time in business means navigating the often hard-to-understand world of insurance - or even forgoing it entirely and hoping for the best. In this episode, I'm talking to Dr. Noor of Noor healthcare about navigating the world of health insurance as an entrepreneur. Dr. Noor is a Bangladeshi-American medical doctor turned health insurance expert from NYC determined to turn the health insurance industry on its head. She has done this by redesigning the customer experience journey when it comes to purchasing health insurance. She currently runs her own health insurance consulting practice out of Tampa, Florida offering strategy to entrepreneurs all over the nation. Dr. Noor offers all her consultations at no charge. She uses her clinical education and training from Bangladesh, experience in studying healthcare systems globally, and years of public health practice to offer services that place the consumer at the core. Statistically speaking, it can cost five times more to get a new client than to retain an existing customer. When we can keep existing clients in our business (even just by 5%) profits can increase up to 95% for some businesses! It's easier to sell to our existing clients too. The success rate of selling to a client you already have is 60-70%, while the success rate of selling to a new customer is 5-20%.* In this episode, I'm joined by Mané Bailey-Sargsyan to have a conversation about ways we can improve client loyalty through creating a customer experience that leaves clients loving our brands. Mane was born and raised in Armenia and then later immigrated to the US. She's built a seven-figure business from the ground up and is the founder and CEO of four boutique companies. Inspired by her mom, Mané’s personal mission is to help women have access to the resources, expertise, and support they need to grow their businesses and to continue to break glass ceilings for women everywhere. I’m actually not a big fan of “hustle” culture. It creates this idea that we always have to be on the move to succeed. One of the reasons my clients are stressed and burnt out is because they have no systems and strategies in place for their business. We often back into creating systems as a result of business picking up and things starting to get lost in the process. Here’s the thing though - if you don’t have systems and strategies in place, you’ll actually end up costing yourself money in the form of client dissatisfaction and overwhelm at taking over new clients. Most people confuse the two but business strategists and business coaches are different and serve different needs in your business. When I decided to pivot into serving businesswomen, I purposely chose to work as a strategist instead of a coach. Outside of there being A LOT of business coaches out there, I know that my strengths lie in planning. What I’m best at is helping others create plans to work towards achieving goals.
