Joel Jeschke grew up in a small town in Saskatchewan, Canada, surrounded by endless prairie. He gravitated towards drums at an early age. Now he lives in Edmonton, Alberta where he plays drums with a rock band, and leads his own jazz band, which has just released the album Time & Place . This music has a lot of complexity, as well as simple melodic moments. The musicianship os excellent, with Aretha Tillotson on bass, Brett Hansen on guitar, Brendan McGrath on piano, and Holly Sangster on saxophone. The music definitely takes one journeying! The conversation winds through the making of the album, Joel’s inspirations, and the power of music. • Joel Jeske on YouTube Music by: Joel Jeschke The post Joel Jeschke – “Time & Place” appeared first on Paradigms Podcast .…

Rose Wollman and Dror Baitel have come together, Viola and Piano respectively, to create the new record Breaking Glass Ceilings Music by Unruly Women offering classical compositions from four women spanning the last century or so; Florence Price , Libby Larsen , Rebecca Clarke , and Amy Cheney Beach . The music is energetic. Both Rose and Dror are Masters at their craft, and bring all of their experience, inspiration, and passion, to this music. Acknowledging the contributions of women at all levels of all human societies is even more important now as we see an increase in political repression of all “minority” groups (although together those minorities form the majority!) including and especially women. • Breaking Glass Ceilings on YouTube Music by: Rose Wollman & Dror Baitel The post Rose Wollman & Dror Baitel – “Breaking Glass Ceilings” appeared first on Paradigms Podcast .…
