“If we march into that village and we start trying to persecute people for using poison, something that's very illegal, nobody's going to talk to us. We're not going to find out where the poison came from. We're not going to be able to shut anything down. We should take the approach that people are using poison because they're desperate, because they see no other alternative.” – Andrew Stein Andrew Stein is a wildlife ecologist who spent the past 25 years studying human carnivore conflict from African wild dogs and lions in Kenya and Botswana to leopards and hyenas in Namibia. ×On that first Easter Sunday morning, the angels asked the women who approached the tomb and discovered there was no body there, a question that the Spirit still asks us today... "Why are you looking for the living among the dead?" See, they were looking for the right thing, in the wrong place... just like some of us. You never find what Jesus promises to be, anywhere but in Jesus. Listen in. Relive the Easter story, and find what you've always been looking for.…
Palm Sunday is about so much more than kids laying down their branches to create a cute visual and a photo opp... nah, it's an announcement, the King is here. That announcement demands a response from us. Will we live to give the King what He desires and deserves or will try to get rid of Him cause we wanna be King? The choice is yours, but the reality is the same... the King is Here.…
God cares about His kids who are not with Him. So much so He's told us to do something, whether we like it or not... urge them to come. In the final installment of DO IT ANYWAY, we've gotta catch the heart of God and bring those He told us to bring.
No one ever wants to be told they were wrong and need to repent, but the command of Scripture is consistent and clear... repent. Do it anyway, whether we feel like it or not. The wonder of it all is, once we do repent, there's a refreshing that you can't even see from here that comes your way. So tap in. Listen close. Do it anyway... Repent.…
Most folk don't like to be told to read the Bible, but maybe that's because you're doing it all wrong. The Bible is your breath... it's what God breathed out and when we breathe it in, it gives life to us. If you're depleted, drained and down... do it anyway... study... and take a breath today.
As we continue the journey and call to DO IT ANYWAY, we have an important conversation on serving. Whether we feel like it or not, think we're too old, too young, too whatever... we're not. DO IT ANYWAY, serve.
Prayer... we've got all the excuses as to why we can't, don't and won't... but the call of Scripture and the expectation of Jesus is that we would be people who pray. Whether we feel it or not, we do it anyway. In this sermon, Courtney Muldrow helps us catch the power that this weapon is and provides for us when we DO IT ANYWAY.…
God ask's people to do difficult things, and one of those things is to give. He wants His followers to reflect His heart and action through their heart and action... by giving. In this latest sermon, we don't tackle the debatable, we address the commands of God that have always been and are charged, to DO IT ANYWAY.…
God has always called His people to gather in His name, but since the beginning, people have neglected this. The same is true today. Many have gotten out of the habit, but God hasn't changed His mind or His call to gather. It's time to DO IT ANYWAY, and expereince the blessing on the other side of just doing it.…
God asks us to do hard things. Often, we push back with all the reasons and excuses for why we can't. In this series, we're gonna do it anyway, starting with the calling to forgive because with the measure we give, it will be given back to us.
In this special sermon on this special day, BELIEVING's tenth birthday, we look ahead to our calling to live here for good, in this season and every season, for God's glory and other's good.
God keeps His word. Whatever He has said, He will do. There's no limitations or deterring factors on anything He has promised. Why? Cause He's a BIG GOD. In this final installment of this series, you will be encouraged to respond with faith to the God who will always get you to where He promised.
Our God is big, so big that He can help you win the battles you are not supposed to win, but that don't mean you won't lose, so that in the end, you win. Listen in as we journey into uncharted waters and see just how big our God is.
Even when you wander, you're not lost if God is leading you. In this sermon, discover how BIG GOD is... big enough to patiently lead you through, so you're ready for where He's taking you.
We serve a BIG GOD. The problem is we forget that... don't believe that... lose sight of that truth. In this first installment of our BIG GOD series, we're gonna expereince the reality that wherever we are and however long we've been there, God is big enough to bring us out.
Do you want to be well? This question from Jesus to a man in need is a question He still asks us today. Do you want to be well? Cause you could be... healed, whole, free... if you want to. Get well today, if you want to.

We've been led to believe that Christmas only comes the the happy or successful, to the smiling and the good, but would believe us if we told you that Christmas actually came in the darkest moment ever? And that, should be a reminder to us that in the darkest moments of our lives, the promise of Christmas is there to bring light, hope and love through the Good News of this and every Christmas. Lean in. Be encouraged. Turn the light on.…
At the end of the day, what enables the church to live out the mission of Jesus for others is people, just like you, who chose to live FOR OTHERS. They serve. They give. With priority and consistency. This is why and we pray their why challenges you and changes you... FOR OTHERS.
The key to growing in generosity as the Scriptures command us isn't desire... most folk wanna be more generous and aren't. The key is determination. Journey with us through a powerful story of faith and gain the determination you need to live FOR OTHERS.
We serve a "first and best" God. From Genesis till now, the only place He will show up and the only sacrifice He'll receive is a first and best. There's a principle of obedience in the Scripture called the "tithe" and in this FOR OTHERS sermon, we gain a fresh and challenging call on a timeless response to the goodness of God.…
We don't have a provision problem, we have a perspective on provision problem. Until we see whatever God has provided right, we'll never steward it right. In this second installment of FOR OTHERS we gain insights from 2 Corinthians 9 on how God sees provision and what we're do with what He provides.
The calling of the Scripture is to live our lives FOR OTHERS. Jesus never told us to love ourselves, He assumed we would, and said to live for others with that same energy we live for ourselves with. In this foundational sermon to our FOR OTHERS series, we gain perspective on personal response to this call and are challenged to do one simple thing... take a step.…

The most twisted and skipped of all things Jesus said started being twisted immediately. From there, it's been contorted and/or skipped over for 2,000 years. But he said what he said, so let's lean in, eat his flesh and drink his blood, cause he said what he said.
B
BELIEVING CHURCH

B

Jesus said what He said to those who had a need. It's was simple and it was clear... I am able and I am willing. Lean in and let the promise of Jesus build your faith cause even when you have a need... He said what He said.
B
BELIEVING CHURCH

Jesus was way more concerned with what's happening in us that how we seem to others. Problem is, most are obsessed with how they appear rather than who they are and who they are becoming. Lean into what He said when He said, "clean the inside" cause that's what matters.
B
BELIEVING CHURCH

We've worked so hard to tell people about the grace of God that sometimes we've missed the call of God. The call to do, share, work, care, build, feed, love... in His name. Don't clip this, listen slow and let the Holy Spirit convict and call us forward cause Jesus didn't mince words, He said what He said.…

Jesus talked so much about life after you die... but it's not the afterlife that many get infatuated with. Sure, He talked about heave and hell and eternity and such, but where He really spent time was on that life after you die, here and now. Don't get it? You can. You will. Let's lean into His call to come and die and experience life after death.…

Jesus said some stuff we love... and some stuff we don't like. It's that stuff we don't like so much that we overlook, skip or water down. Nevertheless, he said what He said, like how He said to love your enemies. You know, them folk you hate. In this first sermon, we lean directly into Jesus' charge, catch the weight of what it means and most importantly, do it so we can do what He said.…
The freedom God gives us isn't just for us... it frees us to give for others, if we don't forget. Lean into this challenge and hear about some of the exciting things happening in and through BELIEVING as we live out the truth that the one who the Son sets free is free in deed.
Forgiving. It's one of the hardest things for a human to do, but it's one of the necessary things for a Christian to do. Our calling isn't to do more forgiving. The calling is to lose count forgiving. Lean in and expereince the power of being free to forgive.
You'll never be free as long as you allow shame to shape your story. Whether you feel riddled by shame or not, the truth is it has shaped our life and will continue to, until it's covered for good. You can live FREE INDEED even if there's shame on you.

When you know the protector, you won't worry about the problem. The issue for most is we know our problem better than we know our Protector. B
BELIEVING CHURCH

Commands are not presented for consideration, but they're expected to be followed by the one who gave the command. Psalm 100 is a command to the follower of God because of who God is and all God has done. Listen. Take notes. Most importantly... follow the commands... cause you've been told.
B
BELIEVING CHURCH

In this journey through a Psalm we take a look at a Psalm where the writer clearly is angry, prays some things we'd never pray... and then praises God in the end. Ya know, that's actually the whole point... that whatever you have and whatever you feel... you can take that to God. He can handle it. Actually, He can handle it best.…

B

Power is a promise for everyone who receives the Holy Ghost, but the power has a purpose. Jesus made it too clear to miss, but yet many have missed it. Lean in to this Pentecost Sunday sermon and allow the person, power and presence of the Holy Ghost to fill you for the purpose God has for you.
The church can save you... not in a heaven and hell sense, but in a "protect you from" kinda way... but you gotta keep showing up. In this final installment, we discover what God is doing and can do through us when we keep showing up as the church.
We live in a divided world, but it's a world that we're called to make a difference in. In this sermon, we're going to discover how to keep showing up in this divided world and make a needed difference because somebody needs us.

Success is the stumbling block that struggle is imagined to be. So when things are good and times are happy, success tells you to stop showing up cause you don't need God and can do it your own way, but as people of faith we must KEEP SHOWING UP to see the full breakthrough that God has for us.
Jesus is not what you're hoping for. This is the reality some of his followers had the boldness to express on the first Easter Sunday. They'd hoped for something different than what He was and they missed who He was. Maybe that's you. You're missing Jesus because He ain't what you hoped for... but we've got good news, He's better.…

Easter Week begins with Jesus' entrance into Jerusalem that is catapulted by a silent yes from some people who had what the Lord needed. It's their "yes" that ushered in the Savior of the world and it's our "yes" that ushers Him to those near to us and far from God. Open your heart today and let your heart be open to what the Lord may need from you.…

In this sermon, Amanda McCollum helps us get a new perspective on prayer by confronting the myths that many of us believe, but keep us from praying. Listen in, take notes and become someone who prays about it... whatever it is.

If we're going to bring blessing to our city, it starts with how we talk about our city because the power of life and death reside in our tongue. We build and we tear down with our words. Lean in to the latest installment and let God deal with the source of your words.
B
BELIEVING CHURCH

As a believer, you have a calling. That calling isn't to make it to heaven when you die, that's your reward. You have a calling to work and watch over wherever God places you. If you are going to live PLANTED NOT BURIED, you better get ready for the opposition. See, too often people face opposition and believe it's God saying stop... don't... quit... but what if it's not? The third verse of this classic Christmas carol tells us something true for all of faith and life... there's something for you, but it ain't about you. Lean in one more time asa we set our focus on Jesus who is peace, Jesus who brings healing... and do what we've always been told to do, "hail" Him.
The second verse of HARK! is a bit surprising... at least to those looking for holly and jolly... it's all a theological explanation of the incarnation. On the surface, that doesn't seem very Christmas... but what if it is? What if getting this is the first step to believing that God gets you. Cause He does. Lean in and let this encouragement bring life yo you, because God gets you.…
