Do you know that doing nothing is hard?
We always hear people say stuff like,
“Ah.. I wish I could just go home and do nothing all day long.”
But, have you actually considered how difficult doing nothing could be?
Okay, let me tell you what doing nothing from my perspective means.
I would wake up in the morning open my eyes, I would remember that today I couldn’t do nothing.
So instead of getting up and eating breakfast, I just lay there in my bed and think about food.
I can’t eat breakfast because eating breakfast is doing something.
So, I just lay there trying to forget about food.
It’s so hard though.
I could see my candy bag on my table.
It is filled with delicious candy.
But I need to stop.
I can’t think, remember?
I can’t do anything today.
Ah..
And that coca cola bottle in the fridge is calling me.
I could hear it say, “Ellie… I’m here waiting for you.”
I just can’t.
It’s so hard just sit there and do nothing.
It’s okay.
I don’t need to go to school or do my homework.
But food?
I need food.
