We asked our members to ask our Manager, Candice, questions in relation to the pelvic floor. Candice has been a Pelvic Floor Physio for 8 years and extremely passionate about women's health.

1. Why is peeing in the shower bad? I haven’t moved past this revelation.

2. Is there a period of time post partum we should be OK with PF issues or when is it not normal to wee when sneezing? What do you think about period cups, any research on if they're good or bad for PF?

3. VAGINAS! Why can’t I star jump, open my legs or do hand stands?

Handstands take in a LOT of air like WOW! I have no words to say how long and loud the air release is, is this normal ? Also LOL FANNY FARTS! No shame.

4. Best way to strengthen your pelvic floor? Things to avoid doing (if any) if it ain’t so great.

5. Hovering over public toilets. I mean this isn’t everyday but surely the occasional is okay? I mean there were manyyyyyy rest area toilets on my trip the year that my bootay was never going to touch.

6. Breath work, lifting and pelvic floor contraction… does it ever get easier?! What are the best exercise to practice it?

7. I think I use the toilet in the break before warm and the wod as a habit now....is this something I should be trying to stop? how can I know when to pee “just in case” and when not too?

8. When should you start doing pelvic floor exercises? It is worth starting before having children?

9. Is there something we can try to encourage our kids to to that could help their pelvic floor in the future? Other then don’t pee in the shower.

10. Would also be interested to know how to train pelvic floor endurance?

And if pelvic floor is not great around that time of the month will it be like that forever or will it be possible to fix?

11. I know the pelvic floor can be effected by your period but can it also be effected by ovulation? Or is everyone different?
