This is part two of our shore-based flounder fishing series. Part one acted as an introduction to flounder fishing on foot, but part 2 is the meat and potatoes of why everything works and dives more into the details.

We dive into gear, structure, the where’s and the whys, etc. There are reasons why the jerk shad produces so many fish, we talk about it, as well as scenarios that would cause you to deviate from the jerk shad (there’s not many, and I haven’t yet this year!). This has been a banner start to the season and the best is yet to come. 56 total keeper fluke landed this year, 55 on foot and 7 straight trips with a limit+ (I don’t keep a limit every single time).
