Mr. Gonzales has been a member of the Florida Bar since 2000 after having obtained his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Notre Dame Law School in May of that year. Mr. Gonzales is also licensed to practice law in the U.S. District Court for both the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida. Prior to obtaining his law degree, he graduated cum laude from Florida Atlantic University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in both Political Science and Criminal Justice in 1997.
He has served two terms on the Florida Bar’s Civil Procedure Rules Committee from 2005-2010 and helped edit the Damages section of the Florida Bar’s Professional Liability of Lawyers in Florida Manual (4th Edition) 2005-2006. Mr. Gonzales is a member of the Defense Research Institute and is also an adjunct professor at Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad Law Center. He was recently appointed to the Advisory Board for the Youth Automotive Training Center (YATC), an organization that helps disadvantaged youths in the South Florida community find employment and finish their education.
Mr. Gonzales joined the law firm of Carman, Beauchamp & Sang, P.A. in 2006, and became a named partner in 2013. His main areas of practice include insurance defense, premises liability, products liability, municipal liability, construction, and commercial litigation, insurance coverage, wrongful death, breach of contract, and automobile negligence.
