The CIA has had a long and storied history riddled with conspiracy theories, but sometimes, those conspiracies have proven to be true. MK-ULTRA, the CIA’s attempt at mind control is one such conspiracy. This conspiracy has it all, from drugging people with LSD, to using sex workers and torture to get people to turn. In this episode, we’ll discuss some of the CIA’s experiments on their quest for mind control and some of the famous names tied to it, how the CIA was responsible for the LSD counterculture that despised it, and how a filing error led to the public uncovering of many of MK-Ultra’s secrets.
