I'm using the recent confession of Mrs.Celine's dilemma to dive into the gut microbial household. Her admittance that she is suffering from SPS (stiff Person syndrome), a devastating effect not fully understood by modern medicine, could be linked to the damage done by eating an extreme regimen. Working as a private chef and having a good understanding of fusing the wisdom of traditional Chinese medicine with food science: I'm looking at her dilemma from an osteopathic perspective. I can see parallel health issues that derive from choices made to starve a body of essential fuel and then having to substitute with pharmaceutical, chemically designed components that can never fully replace the symbiosis of a healthy digestive tract. Although many consume chemically produced and bioengineered replacements, the end-consumers will never understand the consequences of their choices because of the lack of clear regulations and a controlling pharma machine. GABA is one highlighted product that sounds confusing but is added to plenty of "health products." Maybe this is the first time you learn that this could be the "Aspertam AHA realization" - at least understand how microbes function in your pipes.
