Kush no bingo this week, rumour has it he is patient zero for Omicron. Alas we move and we begin with an update on Rohit’s roommate hunt, which has taken a strange turn. Why anyone would choose to live with Ro is beyond us. Next Sen tells us he’s got a new kid at work he is meant to be looking after. Sounds more like he’s bullying this kid more than anything.

Finally Miguel shares a revelation he’s come to during the week. Humanity has become too connected to social media and technology and here at Critical Banter we are going to take a stand. The buoys collectively decide to undertake a tech detox, ridding themselves of the evils of technology, somehow missing the irony of making this outlandish statement through a form of social media - podcasting.

As we banged on about in the logue, we live in the digital age, the tik tok generation, with shortened attention spans. Ad campaigns these days are short and snappy and mostly forgettable. This week's game, “Know Your Brand,” tests the boys' knowledge of classic Australian / international ads and brand slogans.

We end this week with the always popular, “Dob in a Rare Unit.” This week we dob in some of our own rare units and we have one listener submitted rare donny. This week's rare units include climate change deniers, COVID deniers, gym apparel deniers and a workplace tugger.

Also this week: Facebook marketplace, burner phones, shrimp on the barbie and dessert cocaine.

The Logue: Tired of reaching around each other (at least on the podcast), the boys have instead decided to reach around the week’s news stories, events and viral trends.

Know Your Brand: The boys are tested on their knowledge of brand slogans and famous ad campaigns.
