Barby Ingle tells us about the positive benefits of listing “I am…” statements that reflect our God-designed attributes. Too many of us speak of things we do, such as our jobs, diplomas, certifications, etc. Those qualities are temporary, and our God-designed attributes are permanent. When affirmed often, the “I am…” statements become the foundation of our being such that we exude positivity and confidence in our demeanor. Reviewing the “I am…” statements frequently helps affirm God’s presence in the believer’s life while also showing in our countenance. Barby’s “I am…” statements helped her overcome her severe accident requiring a life transition. Through this life transition, she affirmed God has a definite purpose for her life.
