Bad gun owners are a problem. Good gun owners aren't. Today, we speak with Brian Johnson at Silverback Firearms and Defensive Training about what makes a good gun owner.
Having trained nearly 4,000 people on the responsible use of guns and how to effectively protect yourself, he knows what he is talking about. We touch base on the many aspects of responsible gun ownership, from training at Silverback to obtaining a carry permit to buying a gun and registering it.

According to Brian, the most important thing in responsible gun ownership is humility. As he said, if you are in a situation where someone starts jawing off at you--just leave. But also if you are in a situation where you are in danger, your firearm can save you. It was a fascinating conversation for me since I am not a fan of guns!
