In this episode we hear from Ashley Hankamp. Ashley is a wife, mother of four, an elementary school Art Teacher and has recently turned endurance athlete.
Ashley shares that while she is new to triathlon, she grew up playing sports. Over the last few years, she has been very active, making up for all the lost time.
We talked about some of the races she has completed, she educates me on what it means to be a member of the Betty Squad and tries to convince me that I need a gravel bike.
We talk about what would be the perfect race for her to attempt to qualify for the 70.3 World Championships and I try to convince her to race with us in Oregon next year. Spoiler alert, she’s thinking about it.
