Most Rwandans will begin voting Monday in presidential and parliamentary elections. President Paul Kagame, who has ruled the country since 2000, is seeking another term. He is being challenged by only two candidates. Several other candidates, including two prominent females, were denied the right to participate. Campaigning ended on Saturday, and Diaspora Rwandans voted yesterday Sunday. Arthur Asiimwe, deputy chief of mission at the Rwandan Embassy in Washington, DC, tells VOA’s James Butty, those with dual citizenship are allowed to vote.
